Flymentor 3D is a stabilization unit that not only stabilizes the helicopter against external inputs such as wind turbulence, but will also hold the helicopter in position. The Flymentor utilizes both gyros and and a CCD imaging device to help stabilize the Helicopter. The gyros stabilize orientation and the CCD holds position with respect to the ground. Let go of the controls and the Flymentor will upright your helicopter (of course within reasonable limits!).
This system has multiple
applications from stabilizing your aerial photography platform to
acting as an electronic insurance policy when you’re trying out some
crazy 3D or flying that high-roller scale turbine machine!
Features:
The system compensates for both attitude stabilization normal and in inverted flight as well as positional stabilization.
The CCD sensing process provides reliable geographical positioning, independent of the visible horizon as with IF sensors. This means nearby tree and objects will not affect the positioning nor will temperature.
The built-in CCD sensor images the ground and uses this to hold position and prevent the helicopter from drifting. Gyros compensate for attitude stabilization functions. You can adjust the working mode of Flymentor by using an AUX Channel. A switchable gain system offers three different modes: Off, Stabilization and Position-holding mode. It also includes programming for heading lock gyro outside setting and swashplate mixer. You can control the sensitivity and mode of the tail gyro by a GEAR/AUX Channel.
120-degree swashplate, 140-degree swashplate, or 4-Servo 90-degree swashplate and 4-Servo 90-degree+45-degree swash plate.
You can program the Flymentor by computer USB adapter. If you use FM/PPM radio equipm ent, Flymentor will make the aileron, elevator and tail servo back immediately as a failsafe. The pitch will remain in the final signal position and Flymentor will switch to position mode automatically.
